Germantown, Wisconsin (July 25, 2008) - Fixit123 announced today that the company has moved it's office, shop, and storage facilities to Germantown, Wisconsin - 23 miles north of it's old location.  Fixit123 owner, Richard C. Schmidt said, "This move is an important step in our continued growth strategy.  We now have greater accessibility to customers along the the Highway 41/45 corridor in the four-county Milwaukee-southeastern Wisconsin area.  The Germantown location gives us the ability to serve more of more northerly, Washington and Ozaukee counties while still having freeway access to our established customer base in Milwaukee and Waukesha counties.  We are specifically interested in providing more service to Germantown, Richfield, Hartford, Slinger, West Bend, Mequon, Cedarburg, and Grafton".

The new facility gives the company larger shop and storage areas for doing a wider range of in-shop work, a truck bay for project staging, and centralized parking for company trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.  The new facility also has a modern office space for it's sales and service-operations functions.

Mr. Schmidt continued, "We are continuing to develop and implement customer-driven strategies designed to establish Fixit123 as a recognized leader in providing superior customer satisfaction and equally as important - a great place to work for high quality service professionals!"

Greenfield, Wisconsin (April 18, 2008 ) - Richard C. Schmidt, Owner, Fixit123 renewed his commitment to sharing his business and life experience with local youths by volunteering to teach class sessions for the Junior Achievement of Wisconsin.  Mr. Schmidt has participated  in the "Excellence through Ethics" program since 2005, which is sponsored by Junior Achievement of Wisconsin.  The "Excellence through Ethics" program provides top community executives statewide with the opportunity to visit local high school classrooms and bring real-world perspective to the ethical dilemmas we all face.

Mr. Schmidt developed a presentation based on materials provided by Junior Achievement and lead discussions in two 30-student junior-senior classes at Franklin High School in Franklin, Wisconsin and and a graduating senior class at Hartford Union High School in Hartford, Wisconsin where the students attend normal classes in the mornings and enter the workforce in the afternoons.  In the ethics sessions, Mr. Schmidt helps the students understand the importance of doing what is right in all aspects of their lives, and as the Junior Achievement materials put it, "even if no one is watching, even if it costs more money, even if it goes against the majority."

In the Franklin session, Mr. Schmidt started with an explanation of the organizational structure of a large public company and the pressure the company would feel from investors if the company's stock price drops due to poor performance or other market factors such as bad publicity.  Students were divided into smaller groups acting as executives of shoemaker, Nike and given only one minute to formulate a response to each of three hypothetical dilemmas experienced by the company: The discovery of carcinogens in company's main product, public outcry over the discovery of the company's use of "sweatshop" labor in manufacturing, and the effects an accounting error which overstated sales revenue considerably over the past six quarters.

"While it is hard to make a obvious impact on the student's understanding of importance of ethics in today's society in one only class period," said Mr. Schmidt.  "I believe that a few small suggestions can later lead to big improvements in a person's life."  Mr. Schmidt said:  "My goal was to encourage students to be more aware of the ethical issues that surround us in our daily lives."

This year, Mr. Schmidt also taught a 6-week business class to a 5th grade class at St. Boniface School in Germantown The program called "Our Nation" is designed to provide practical information about business operations and economic issues in the United States. The program started with a discussion of how entrepreneurial-driven sole proprietors in America start and build a business, contrasting the benefits and limitations of sole proprietorships, partnerships and corporations.  Topics included, marketing, sales, profitability, staffing, and critical decision making.  By the final day, the students had chosen a business they would start and were able to explain how they would run their business.  "The 5th graders in this class were amazingly eager to participate, especially with the role playing exercises on staffing and the associated challenges of  running a successful business, said Schmidt.  "I truly enjoyed seeing the open enthusiasm in this group.  I hope they can keep this spirit through their high school years and into the workplace."

The Junior Achievement mission is to ensure that every child in Wisconsin has an opportunity to obtain an understanding of the free enterprise system.

Greenfield, Wisconsin (June 26, 2005) - Fixit123 continued one of its spring-summer nature projects this weekend at a privately owned parcel of land in central Wisconsin.  Completed projects included trimming, mowing, and grading portions of a 2.5 mile hiking and ATV trail system created and maintained by Fixit123 over the past three years.  The trail system provides Wisconsin Family Forest members (WFF) www.wisconsinfamilyforests.org/ and others a friendly meeting place to enjoy family-oriented learning sessions about Wisconsin wildlife habitats that can be created at privately owned, properly managed forest land enrolled in the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Managed Forest Law (MFL) program.

During this weekend project wild turkeys and deer frequently visited the site of last month's project which established crops of habitat corn and sorghum.  "I like it when customers stop by to check out our work, especially repeat customers," joked Richard C. Schmidt, Owner, Fixit123, "It'll be interesting to see if the irregular rain patterns in these sandy soils will let us  reach the farmer's rule of thumb for the maturing corn fields - 'knee-high by July!"
